DJI Ronin M Lightweight 3-Axis Stabilizer :-

Description:-

The Ronin-M is much lighter, more compact, easier to transport, and offers the ability to shoot in a wider variety of shooting scenarios when space and flexibility are key. Perfect for aspiring and professional filmmakers, the Ronin-M makes DJI’s world-class stabilization technology accessible to a wider range of creators. While the original Ronin is still suitable for those who require maximum carrying capacity for full setups that would include very heavy cameras, large lenses, and other professional tools to be used together, the Ronin-M is powerful enough to hold and stabilize setups for most shooting situations.

The Ronin-M is a 3-axis camera stabilization gimbal that holds a wide variety of cameras, giving you smooth, stable, hand-held footage in most conditions.

Smooth Track gives a single gimbal operator the ability to transform their tilt and pan movements into smooth and stabilized camera angle changes. This makes framing wide-angle or close scenes significantly easier for a single operator. It weighs 2.3kg (5lbs), almost half the weight of the original Ronin, including the handlebar and battery.

The DJI Assistant app allows easy configuration of all system parameters on the fly via Bluetooth. The control range is around 100-200m when using the included remote control and built-in DJI receiver. A D-bus port is also available if a non-DJI receiver is required.

The original Ronin battery can be used with the Ronin-M, but the Ronin-M battery cannot be used in the original Ronin.

It is very easy to balance your camera and start shooting. No tools are needed to balance the camera, and Auto Tune Stability works at the tap of a button. Changing the setup for different camera arrangements is quick and simple.

All units have the latest firmware when shipped, and free firmware updates will be made available online for improved performance and future features. Download the updates and use a standard USB cable to update the Ronin’s firmware through the PC Assistant.

Single Axis Follow mode instructs your Ronin-M to apply Smooth Track to only one axis of motion, while keeping your camera perfectly stable and still on the other two axes. For example, this can be used to only allow Smooth Track to move your camera along the pan axis, while ignoring any accidental motions that would otherwise tilt or roll the camera along those axes.

Two regulated 12V P-taps, one 500mAH full size USB connector, and one DJI Lightbridge HD Video Downlink port offer a convenient power source for other equipment, all while keeping the wiring to a minimum. The system cannot provide power for additional cameras.

For Cameras Up to 8 lb.:-

The Auto Configuration feature means the Ronin-M can adapt to a range of camera sizes, and is ideally suited for compact video cameras, mirrorless cameras, and DSLRs. It is suitable for payloads up to 8 pounds.

Smooth Track Control:-

Smooth Track gives a single gimbal operator the ability to translate their tilt and pan movements of the gimbal into smooth and stabilized movements of the camera’s angle. This is designed to make framing of broad wide-angle scenes or even shooting in close quarters much easier during single gimbal operator use.

Auto Configuration :-

After balancing the camera with a simple tap of the ATS (Auto Tune Stability) button, Ronin-M will be automatically tuned for the mass and weight distribution of your camera rig. The gimbal will intelligently adjust parameters based on the camera rig’s weight and independently adjust each of the three axes until an optimal setting is found.

Three Operation Modes :-

1) Upright Operation Mode
Upright Mode allows the gimbal to be flipped over so the camera can be operated closer to eye level without straining to lift the gimbal. This can be used in various situations, such mounting on the top of the vehicle.

2) Under slung (Suspended) Operation Mode
Suspended Operation Mode is the standard operation mode for Ronin-M. Low slung, close to the ground, or simply holding the gimbal in front of you offers stabilized handheld footage. This mode would also be used when mounted the gimbal on a flying platform such as a multi-rotor RC helicopter.

3) Briefcase Mode :-
When a slimmer gimbal profile is needed – such as when moving through doorways or narrow paths – Briefcase Mode is ideal. It allows the gimbal to be held to the side and close to the legs, much like a briefcase.

⇒ Second Operator Control :-

Featuring the form factor of an RC aircraft radio controller, the 2.4 GHz Ronin transmitter provides pan and tilt control as well user-assignable speed settings and operation modes via two toggle switches. This allows one operator to hold the gimbal assembly while a second manually controls camera movement remotely. If you would rather use a third-party transmitter a D-bus port is provided as well.

⇒ Optional Thumb Controller for Pan / Tilt

Single thumb control is possible for the Ronin-M Handheld Gimbal System. These Pan and Tilt movements are controlled via the optional Thumb Controller attachment, available separately. Additionally, Smooth Track Mode can be turned on or off using the Thumb Controller interface.
